Mexico Vacations: Family Resorts in Mexico

You may think of Mexico as being a place for honeymooners or romantic couples. It is often thought of as an adult vacation. Vacationing in Mexico with family, however, can be the experience of a lifetime. Not only can everyone enjoy the fun and sun, but there is so much to see and do in this North American paradise for everyone. Best of all, you can take a vacation in Mexico at a family resort and find the cost a lot less than you imagined. Children are often given discounts when it comes to hotel accommodatiosn and even meals, making this a popular family vacation destination.

As if the warm and friendly climate of Mexico is not enough, you can find attractions in this country that cater to families with young children. Your children will not only enjoy playing at the pool at the hotel and having fun in the large resorts, but there are also many different attractions that are designed for families with young children to visit this beautiful country.

One place that you will not want to miss is the Xcaret Theme Park. This is a large attraction filled with amusement rides that is specifically designed for children of all ages. Even adults will have a lot of fun at this theme park which is billed as the Disneyland of the Mayan Riviera. This can be a great place to take the kids for a day and there are plenty of accommodations nearby.

In addition to the standard amusements, Xcaret Theme Park has some things that you will not find anywhere else in the world. They are known for the underground river that runs deep and allows you to see wild animals as well as exotic fish. You and your children can visit a butterfly pavilion as well as actually get a chance to swim with dolphins. These gentle sea creatures are among the friendliest in the sea and are a delight when you get up close with them. This is a park that everyone should visit and will give the entire family a deeper appreciation of nature.

Another great place to visit when you take the family to Mexico is Cozumel. There are a variety of different family friendly resorts that offer snorkeling for the kids as well as the adults in addition to scuba diving. Cozumel is one of the safest places to go in all of Mexico, although when you stay within the resort, you are safer than in your own home half of the time.

You can get an all inclusive vacation in Mexico that includes tours, scuba diving and snorkeling, dinners and accommodations at many resorts. This can be a great way to spend the holiday with the entire family. Instead of taking the family to Florida, why not go a bit further south and try Mexico?

In order to go to Mexico, you will need to have a passport for you and your children. Get your passport as soon as you book your trip as these can take several weeks to get.

Blending modernism with vernacular influences, textures and vibrant colours from his native Mexico, Ricardo Legorreta helped put Mexican architecture on the world map. His works brightened up his nation's often smog-grey capital, Mexico City, as well as towns and cities in the south-western US states that were part of Mexico until the mid-19th Century – California, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
